The 13th SCMSA Summer School on Infectious Diseases
and Tropical Medicine
with just the right amount of each of these secret ingredients;
Business: a once in a lifetime opportunity to get hands on experience regarding infectious diseases, &
Pleasure: the opportunity to explore the treasures of Egypt.

Our comprehensive scientific course will include lectures, labs, clinical visits as well as problem solving sessions aiming at increasing your knowledge about the various infectious diseases common in the region. Such valuable experience would be impossible to attain via textbooks!
Information
Time:
12th till the 26th of July, 2009
(Plus an optional 4 days, 3 nights trip to Sharm El Sheik, so the whole thing ends on the 30th of July)
Number of Participants:
25 up to 35 students maximum “so hurry up reserve your place!”
Deadline for Applications:
31st of May 2009
Course Fee:
300 euros (early registration)
330 euros (registration after deadline or upon arrival)
Special Offer! ONLY 280 euros (for groups of 4 or more)
For accompanying persons, their registration fees are:
320 euros (early registration)
350 euros (registration after deadline or upon arrival)

Please take in consideration that you afford the bank transaction fees, which
will vary according to the country and the bank you deal with.
We kindly request that you send us a copy of the bank transfer receipt
in any of the following ways:

3. Send it by mail to the Suez Canal Medical Students’ Association, Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt.
Before the 30th of June, the fees shall be 60% refundable.
The fees will cover:
• Scientific course.
• Accommodation in a double air-conditioned room with private bathroom in three stars hostel in Ismailia, Egypt.
• Breakfast and lunch.
• Social and cultural program including trips to Cairo and Alexandria to visit many marvelous monuments up there, and a one day trip to Port Said.
• Certificate that will be issued to all those who will have completed the course.
More to know
Required Equipment:
A white coat and a stethoscope. A camera will come in handy as well!
Optional Social Program:
Optional trips will be organized to different cities and regions in Egypt such
as Sharm El sheik, Hurghada, Sinai & Luxor.
Official Language:
English.
Climate and Clothing:
The weather is sunny & warm in august; the average temperature ranges
from 28 to 35°c, being one of the most beautiful countries during this period
of the year.
