The figure has a lot of meaning behind it; it sums up our entire purpose: To address the 10/90 gap.

Since information and communication is to fight the 10/90 gap, our website and journals are trying to do just that through an open access forum and journals not only to educate people about research, but also giving voice to students from around the world.

It is a wonderful idea to launch this journal and I like the name bcoz it reflects the state of developing world in a nice and concise manner. PLoS Medicine was not rated (impact factor) 2-3 years back when it was launched, but today it is world's 5th general medicine journal. Every thing starts from zero, its not the start but the end which matters. we should encourage such an initiative. We Pakistani researchers should think above ourselves and should submit our articles here to promote the research culture in Pakistan.
